HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly down to statistics Tees Mar Khan had the 3rd highest opening at the box office last year after Dabangg and 3 idiots. Technically meaning this movie has been profitable in a business perspective. But technically and critically reviewing the movie from a cinema lover perspective the movie has nothing and nothing really to excite the audience other than Shelia Ki Jawani which comes right at the beginning. Every aspect from acting to drama to jokes have been over done which has cost the makers a lot of negative publicity. And that has added to the woes of the makers as people are agreeing to it being bad so dont watch it.
Secondly the critics panned the movies from left to right and the audience panned it even more ..... causing a down slide. First time I am seeing a movie where reviews has actually made people not watch this movie.But whatever the reviews it has grossed more than Rs60 crores and still counting which makes it the 6 highest grosser of last year. Making it a hit, but "with the tag that it is a bad movie".
Indian cinema is going places with that.With that said the other two movies sank without a trace leaving no ounce or doubt that my predictions turned out to be right. But only disappointment is that TMK wasnt a blockbuster(since everything happens for a reason, not every movie should be a hit because its expected too). And i am happy it didnt after watching that movie you cant vouch for that movie at all.
With that being said I really dont need to say what happened with the other two must have sinked without a trace and you guys didnt even bother to watch it.

Christmas Releases on December 24th 2010
Hi,
As promised few movies that I have gone through this week lets see if my formula works or not.
The following are the forthcoming movies that coming on screen this Christmas Season:-
1.Tees Mar Khan :- Directed by Farah Khan and family. Cast:- Akshya Kumar and Khanna along with Katrina Kaif.
The movie is in the news for all the right reasons"Shelia Ki Jawani" that is enough to pull the crowds to the theatre in every nook and corner. Do we have to say any more? The Technical Aspects of the movie will be good as usual as expected from a Farah Khan movie. The pairing of the cast is undoubtly the best in the Bollywood industry with another cast Akshya Khanna. Even the Movie title has aroused curiosity in every possible way. Even after media declaring the movie is a copy of a old Hollywood flick curiosity never seems to kill the cat in this case.This movie will have a good opening sustaining will not be an issue though some people might not relate to this kind of mindless movie which is just meant to entertain and that is it. ( Wasn't that the purpose of making Cinema's first of all).
My Predicition this movie will become a hit with a spectacular opening.
2.Toonpur ka Super hero:- Directed by Keerit Khurana Cast:- Ajay Devgan, Kajol and lots of Toons
Can Ajay Devgan finish this year with a hit under his belt , is the question everybody is asking? But the truth is the movie has all the ingredients to be a hit with a top star cast Ajay and Kajol back again with animations and kids all around. Will everybody be interested in seeing these movies? Well yes and no......Yes because all kids would love to watch this movie but beyond that I am doubtful of the rest of the age groups.
Versatality is a virtue that Ajay Devgan has that very few in this industry has but will it be enough to sustain its tenure in the BO. As he has had a Dream run this year with Rajneethi, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Golmaal 3 and critically acclaimed Aakrosh. Movie is already in the limelights for all the wrong reasons like Bappi Lahri case and all. Will this really help the movie I doubt it.
My Predictions this movie will not be able to make a dent for Tees Mar Khan Profits. But if it seriously does it has to do on th premise that the movie has a good story and acting crenditials to make it work.
3. Isi Life Mein:- Directed by Director Vidhi Kasliwal Cast:- Akshya Oberoi and Sandeepa Dhar.
This is one movie that can be a suprise package....since it is Rajshree Production there is not much buzz regarding this movie but you never know if this movie can give these two biggies a run for there movie in the B and C centres of the movie world where Rajshree's Productions has a good dominance.Since it is a newcomer movieAkshaye Oberoi(Vivek Oberoi's Cousin) this movie hasnt quite created the stir. But I have a feeling that it will not cause any dent in the box office unless and until it connects with everybody.(Maybe then I will have to bite my tongue for it.Well I doubt that Raajshri will have another hit in there hit...like they once upon a time had)
My Predicition is this movie will not make wonders still.

BEFORE AND AFTER REVIEWS

Over the few years I have been developing a formula which has worked for me in analyzing what makes a movie click at the box office. The formula I won't share for obvious reason. But it is mix of instincts plus logical calculation. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt . But i have had a fair good run in my prediction for the movies Ihad an opninion on. So please let me know if there are things that can help me in analyzing the movies even in a better formula.
What I will be doing is before the movie releases and without seeing the movie predict the following:-
1) Success of the movie
2) Story of the movie in brief synopsis
3) Star Cast(Including directors)
4) Technical Aspects
5) Movie as a whole.
After that I will be reacting to the Box office reports on how the movie is performing and the assumptions I have had and if they have changed after the movie has been released.
Hence you will have two reviews which can be commented or corrected in any form by your opnions, one before the movie releases and the second after the movie releases it.
